‘Help Us to Help Ourselves’
The Fellowship was founded in 1949 and we are a thriving Charity with an outstanding record of service for people with disabilities in Plymouth and the surrounding district.
Fellowship Club
The Fellowship re-organised in 2013 and has a membership of some eighty members, which is the maximum we can support adequately. We now meet on the second Thursday of each month, whilst also organising where possible two outings per month for each member, along with the Annual Lunch and Christmas Lunch each year.

The Early Days
In the beginning, the Fellowship was organised by thirty-seven people with various disabilities, who were full of enthusiasm to succeed and founded the Fellowship on 14 January 1949. The Fellowship purchased Astor Hall in January 1959 and the Fellowship club then had a permanent base.
In May 1960 our first permanent residential resident arrived and the Fellowship then had a Residential Care Home for people with disabilities as well as the Fellowship club.
Administration
The Fellowship is a Registered Charity (Registered No 1087327) and a Company Limited by Guarantee (Registration No 03903949). The General Administrator is responsible for the administration of the Charity.
